Comprehensive Assessment
Espire’s comprehensive assessment involves standardised and non-standardised assessments, designed to determine the best intervention plan for your child, their needs and their goals.
A detailed occupational therapy report is provided upon completion of the assessment. The report presents outcomes from the assessment, overall findings and individualised recommendations to best support your child.

Our Assessments
Handwriting is an important skill for children to master, enabling them to effectively communicate and learn. Some children may experience difficulty with handwriting due to factors such as fine or gross motor skills, strength, pencil grip, visual motor skills, sensory processing or reduced body awareness.

Espire's fine motor skills assessments involve the analysis of your child's ability to coordinate the smaller muscles in their hands and fingers. These assessments explore writing skills, visual motor integration skills, coordination, strength and ability to execute fine motor tasks such as cutting, colouring, writing, shoelace tying and donning buttons and zips.
The sensory processing assessment provides a holistic understanding of your child’s sensory preferences and how this affects their day-to-day life. Sensory dysregulation can affect children’s engagement in their daily tasks across all areas of their life.
This assessment will involve the administration of the Sensory (child) Profile, collaboration with family/carers and educators and a one-to-one assessment with your child. A detailed report will be provided outlining assessment outcomes and recommendations to support your child's sensory system.
